THE PROCESS

STEP 1: INTERVIEW

After submitting your application, our team will review your information. If it looks like a good fit, we’ll schedule a call to learn more about you, your goals, and explore potential territory options together.

STEP 3: SECOND CALL

In our second call, we’ll go over the FDD together, answer your questions, and make sure you feel confident and informed as you consider moving forward.

STEP 5: WELCOME!

When everything aligns, we’ll officially award your territory and sign the franchise agreement—welcoming you as the newest member of the Lumier's family.

STEP 2: REVIEW FDD

We’ll then share our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). This non-binding document walks you through everything you need to know about franchising with Lumier's Chimney Cakes.

STEP 4: HEADQUARTERS

If we’re both excited about the opportunity, we’ll invite you to join us for a day at our headquarters in Washington DC. You’ll meet our team, experience our culture firsthand, and learn all about our chimney cakes.

STEP 6: OPENING NEAR YOU

We will discuss a plan for opening your new locations and be of assistance every step of the way. We will make sure you have everything you need to be ready for your exciting new opening!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS THE STARTUP COST?

The initial franchise fee is $35,000 for one location. We can discuss a plan if you're interested in rights to a territory. Royalty fees are 5% plus a 2% advertising fee. The buildout costs of the stores are the franchisee's responsibility.

how many locations can i open?

The number of stores a franchisee opens is considered on a case by case basis. However, majority of our franchises are sold in territories with a minimum of two stores in each territory.

can i have multiple investors go in with me?

Absolutely! Having multiple investors to own and operate your stores will not only help your business succeed, but will provide opportunity for growth with more capital resources. All investors must be interviewed and approved by our team.

do i have to advertise my own location?

All digital marketing and advertising is done by our team using the 2% advertising fee. We understand that as an investor, you are not a professional in social media, which is why we take that off your shoulders! However, community marketing at events is still required to be done by the franchisee.
